Watching “On the Waterfront’ for the first time made me realize what a devastating and popular art form movies could be. In movies, literature, theatre, art, music and poetry all come together to display a slice of life as it is or as it should be. I want to make ‘em.
SLATE/PROJECTS IN DEVELOPMENT
Based on the actual massacre of five young men on the Trincomalee Beach, Sri Lanka during the country’s civil war, the story follows a young strong-headed journalist who will stop at nothing to uncover the perpetrators, which forces him to uncover a truth that he would never recover from.
Having finished studying Acting & Theatre at the National Theatre Drama School, I’ve acted in Sri Lankan/Australian plays and am currently involved in forming a theatre company. At the moment I’m studying Advanced Diploma of Screenwriting at RMIT, devoting myself to the craft.
