SLATE/PROJECTS IN DEVELOPMENT
Feature film – off-beat black comedy.
An estranged son struggles to help his mother grieve for his dead father… when the family cat is possessed by his father’s spirit.
On a fictitious island situated halfway between America and ‘Straya, beach-teen Corey must learn the ways of a ‘Strayan man and save the community from the Sir-Joh inspired Mayor digging up the island for gold – whilst protecting the township from an asteroid heading straight for them.
In 2013 I developed characters and contributed sketches for C31’s “Broke”, and developed two feature-length spec-scripts. Before studying at RMIT, I wrote and shot three short films, helped construct Audio/Visual components with bands and musicians in Australia and the US, and worked on the sets of a few music videos.
After a decade of teaching drama; directing/writing theatre for universities; acting for films, TVCs, State Theatre Companies, Opera Australia, and the corporate sector, I am adding another string to my bow as a screen-writer to facilitate my projects. Currently I run an historical walking tour – which I researched and wrote.
